Bel Canto gets the new year off to a stirring start with the joyous music of Vivaldi Gloria and the beauty of the Fauré Requiem.
Michael Tippett’s Five Negro Spirituals and Peteris Vask’s Pater Noster complete the programme which promises to be popular with Bel Canto audiences old and new.
Musical director, Robert Webb is working his magic on the choir with his inspirational interpretation of the music along with choir master and accompanist, Jonathan Gooing who make a formidable team in creating choral music at its best.
St Margaret’s Church, Swinton is the venue and home to the choir with its warm welcome and wonderful acoustics for music of this calibre.
