The Bel Canto Autumn concert is a selection of some of the most beautiful choral music from Haydn, Schubert and Vivaldi.
The Missa Sancti Nicholai is quintessentially Haydn in its bright exuberant style and tunefulness.
Mass in G is one of the most familiar and gentlest of masses by Schubert, composed in six days in March 1815 when he was a mere eighteen years old.
The ever popular Gloria is one of two written by Vivaldi. RV589 is energetic and theatrical and will complete our programme for what promises to be an uplifting evening of choral music.
We welcome back The Meiningen String Ensemble who will accompany the concert along with Clare Wheat, our guest Soprano soloist.
