FREEDOM, THE POWER OF SONG … GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE WONDERFUL CHILDREN OF HILL HOUSE SCHOOL

We always look forward to the wonderful pupils of Hill House School joining forces with Bel Canto as they always delight with their superb singing and exuberance.

Last night was no exception as the two choirs performed ‘Freedom, the Power of Song’ by Alexander L’Estrange. “It is a work full of drama and contrast, of beauty and energy, and brilliantly ties in four areas where the Power of Song has helped change the course of history.”
After the warm opening in close harmony by Bel Canto, Hill House choir’s entry completed the full sound and brought a vibrancy and energy throughout that had delighted the audience and had everyone’s toes tapping.

Huge thanks to Robert Webb, our Musical Director who makes these things happen, to the staff of Hill House who prepared the children and accompanied the performance on bass guitar and as co conductor, to the talented percussionist from Hill House 6th Form and Jonathan Gooing whose jazz piano was off the scale.

A thrilling evening, a great choice of music and the absolute best in teamwork!
